Associate Professor David Andresen, BSc, MB BS (Hons I), DTM&H, M.Med.Sci, M.Biostat, FRACP, FRCPA, is an Infectious Diseases Physician and Clinical Microbiologist with particular interests in evidence-based antimicrobial use, antibiotic stewardship, orthopaedic infections, opportunistic fungal infections, and hospital infection prevention and control. He has postgraduate qualifications in tropical medicine, clinical epidemiology, and biostatistics. David is a Microbiology examiner for the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia, and a member of its Quality Assurance Program committee. He is a Senior Staff Specialist at St Vincent’s Public Hospital and a Visiting Medical Officer at St Vincent’s Private Hospital.
