Dr Georgia McCaughan

Haematology Department


Dr Georgia McCaughan is a clinical and laboratory Haematologist at St Vincent’s Hospital. She graduated from Sydney Medical School at the University of Sydney in 2011 with the University Medal and has completed a Masters in Medicine (Clinical Epidemiology). She completed her Haematology Advanced Training at Westmead Hospital and completed a Myeloma Fellowship at St Vincent’s Hospital, Sydney.

Georgia McCaughan has an interest in plasma cell dyscrasias including multiple myeloma and AL amyloidosis. She is a member of the Australian Leukaemia and Lymphoma Group Myeloma Working Group and is actively involved in novel clinical trial design. She is a Senior Research Associate with the University of New South Wales and Garvan Institute of Medical Research. Dr McCaughan also works with Professor Peter Croucher and Professor Tri Phan on translational research in the areas of myeloma cell dormancy and myeloma bone disease.
