Dr Peter Earls MBBS(Hons), DipRACOG, FRACGP, FRCPA, FIAC, completed his pathology training at Westmead Hospital in 2002, and joined St Vincent’s in 2007 after a four year appointment at ACT Pathology, Canberra, including three as Director of Cytology. He is a regular invited speaker at national Cytopathology meetings, and has recently served as the NSW State Councillor of the Australian Society of Cytology. He has teaching commitments to medical students and pathology trainees both in NSW as well as in the third world via his involvement with Volunteer Pathologists Australia. He is the trainee supervisor for Anatomical Pathology Registars at St Vincent’s. He is involved in research projects in the areas of chronic rhinosinusitis, pituitary neoplasia, pancreatic cytopathology and HPV-related squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck.
His areas of special interest include cytopathology and histopathology of the head and neck, endocrine system and breast.
